"I love Greek Life at Belmont because it gave me something to belong to.
It gave me a home away from home. A place to be welcomed no matter who you are or where you come from, and that’s what makes it special.”
College is a time of growth and connection, and Belmont University Greek Life is a great way to find lifelong friendships, job connections, service activities, academic and emotional support, and skill and leadership development. During your time in college, you are faced with many decisions and choices, but we fully believe that the decision of joining and participating in sorority life will positively affect your experience while in school and years after.
What We've Achieved
Philanthropy - each sorority has their own individual philanthropy that they participate in and raise money for. As a community, we all support each other’s events and all raise money for St. Jude. We as a group record charitable contributions of over $100,000 and log tens of thousands of community service hours throughout the Nashville and global communities.
Academics - our Greek Community consistently achieves a cumulative grade point average that is higher than the all Belmont student average and the non-Greek affiliated student average. We are involved in almost every major, club, or student organization and often hold a majority of the top student leadership roles on campus.
Sisterhood - the best part! We are so thankful to have the community we do, and spending time with the women involved in Greek Life is the greatest gift. Along with our weekly chapter meetings, we have socials, philanthropy opportunities, sisterhood activities, and so many different events to take part in. Some of our biggest events include semi formal, formal, and Greek Sing.
Leadership: Along with leadership opportunities in their own chapters, Greek Life women hold leadership positions all over campus - positions like Student Government officers, Orientation Council leaders, Towering Traditions leaders, Bruin Recruiters, Spiritual Life Assistants, and Student Activities Programming Board officers.
